Best Heroes in Whiteout Survival for F2P
Jessie, Sergey, Bahiti are early heroes that you will start with.
Then, to round out your arena setup, you will add Jasser and Patrick to the heroes above (Jessie, Sergey, Bahti).
Gina is great for attacking Beasts and Polar Terrors. Molly is the first mythic and will get shards throughout the game. Zinman you'll get in the first Lucky Wheel.
To upgrade your Arena Heroes, you will quickly move to: Jessie, Sergey, Bahiti, Molly, Gina/Zinman.
Best Heroes Considerations in Whiteout Survival
Mythic heroes are usually better attack heroes. Mythic is what you're targeting collecting shards are very important. Please note a 4 star Epic is usually better than a 1 star Mythic.
Whiteout Survival Hero Pro Tip
Learn this the first day as it's a fundamental for the remainder of the game. If you are F2p, you will be Rally Joiner. Only the first hero's expedition skills are useful in the rally. 3 heroes have a 25% attack boost for the rally. These heroes are Jessie, Jasser, and Seo-yoon. Yes, they are Epic and not Mythic. They need to be 4 star and upgraded skill to get the 25%. The next important piece of information is only the first 4 heroes in the march count towards the rally attack buffs.

Best Heroes Details for F2P in Whiteout Survival
1. Bear Trap Heroes - Attack Heroes
The stronger you get, the more marches you can send. You will split into 2 marches at the beginning. Jessie will be your first hero in the first march, and the other 2 heroes does not matter. In your second march, Jasser will be the first hero followed by 2 other heroes. When you have enough troops you can add Seo-yoon for the 3rd march.
2. Crazy Joe - Defense Hero
The stronger you get, the more marches you can send. You will split into 2 marches at the beginning. Patrick will be your first hero in the first march, and the other 2 heroes does not matter. Sergey will be the first hero on your second march.
3. Exploration Heroes
The Hero's Exploration Skill are used here. I don't focus too much on this. Keep playing weekly to move forward. The rewards are small, so use your Arena Heroes.
4. Arena Heroes
The Hero's Exploration Skills are used here, Expedition Skills are not used. Your Arena Heroes should be: Jessie, Sergey, Bahiti, Molly, Zinman.
5. Intel, Beasts, and Polar Terror Heroes
These heroes do not matter too much. Gina is great to use for the stamina reduction and march speed. I send so many attacks, I can't use Gina every time or I would be there forever! Just depends how much you want to grind!!
6. Gathering Heroes
There are 4 heroes that you want to put in the first spot for gathering. I usually leave the other 2 spots open.
- Cloris - Meat Gathering
- Eugene - Wood Gathering
- Charlie - Coal Gathering
- Smith - Iron Gathering
Their Expedition Skills are important to look at and upgrade to increase gathering efficiency by 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% depending on how far you have upgraded the skill.
7. Research and Construction Heroes
2 heroes will always have these applied whether the heroes are in use or waiting on the bench; Zinman & Jasser. Zinman has a construction speed boost (3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15%) and lower costs (3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15%). I would take this to 3 stars and then switch to VIP. Jasser has a skill to increase research speed (3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, 15%).
