MARVEL SNAP Beginner's Guide
MARVEL Beginner's Guide
Getting Started
When you start the game, it loads up a tutorial for learning how to fight. This is mainly to help show you how the turn-based game works and the rules of gameplay. Side note, in Android ecosystem the app is actually call SNAP, not MARVEL SNAP. I'm not sure who decided this but don't like it. I want it all alphabetical and starting with MARVEL... anyways, I'm sure you'll run into this as well so helpful to know. You can also play this game on Apple devices as well as PC. They did a nice job making this device agnostic.
Game Play & Basic Mechanics
The goal is to control 2 of 3 locations. A simpler way to view this you have the highest power in 2 of 3 locations. Power is in the top right corner of each card. Each card has an energy cost. Energy cost range from 1-6 but there are some pieces of the game that modify these. If you don’t use all your energy each turn, you lose it. There are 6 rounds and draw a random card from your deck after each time you play. There are special conditions that change power and energy costs and we’ll cover these in more detail later. There are 3 locations and each location has its own properties and rules that change the battle. The first turn the first location on the left is revealed with it’s properties. The middle and right locations reveal their properties in turns 2 and 3 respectively.
Resource Types
3 resource types can be found in the game - gold, credits, and boosters.
Gold
You can spend gold on a couple things in the game. Gold can be spent for 2 things currently variants and credits. On server reset you have 6 variants you can buy for 700 or 1200 gold. You can also turn your gold into credits by buying 2 additional quests that can be completed in the missions. You can also spend gold directly in the store for credits.

Battlepass
Yeah, we’ve all seen this before in other games. There is a free tier of the battlepass where you can collect your upgrades or you can buy the premium battlepass with real money. Use an app store giftcard and help us out. If you’re going to spend your hard earned cash, we believe buying the premium battlepass this is the best value in the game.
Collection Track (CL)
The collection track is a series of point that provide rewards such as gold, credits, new cards, booster, and variants. You can earn 2 CL points for spending 100 credits. You can also earn 1 CL point when you find a new card or new variant.
Pro Tip - When you upgrade a card to infinite, this splits the card into a new version. This card starts over at common giving more upgrade options to earn CL points.
